One of the most successful rock bands in the world, Scorpions will be celebrating 40+ years in music during their final outing, as well as the release of Sting In The Tail, which dropped on March 23. The album entered the Billboard 200 charts at number 23, marking the band’s highest chart debut in more than 20 years. “Raised on Rock” – the album’s anthemic first single – soared to the top of the classic rock radio chart and adds to their remarkable list of hits including “Rock You Like A Hurricane,” “Wind of Change” and “No One Like You.”

On April 6, Scorpions – Klaus Meine (vocals), Matthias Jabs (lead guitar), Rudolf Schenker (guitar), James Kottak (drums) and Pawel Maciwoda (bass) – were inducted into RockWalk at Guitar Center in Hollywood, California, the only sidewalk gallery dedicated to honouring those artists who have made a significant impact and lasting contribution to the growth and evolution of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Blues and R&B.

During their career, Scorpions sold more than 100 million albums and received many awards including the World Music Award and several Echos – the German comparison to the Grammy. Not long ago, 152,000 South Americans came to 15 of the band’s concerts between Rio de Janiero and Mexico City. Their song “Wind of Change” has become an anthem for the fall of the Iron Curtain.

The “Get Your Sting and Blackout” farewell world tour is part of the Belle Tire Concert Series.
